Tracking a banner (2006)
Our use of online banner ads was limited for several years due to a lack of reporting on click through rates for the ads. Most resources went to print advertising which was a known quantity to the decision-makers. Thus, display banners comprised a very small portion of the marketing budget and were mostly "complementary" components to the print advertisements.
